I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
