Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his first title for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks his maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also indicates he has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's retrieving play style and regular reactions on court had led observers to question if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first professional championship, gained dominance to force a decider.
Moutet saved four early-game break points in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
