WHere is a home-style take on a cocktail from our latest drinks list. This is a large-volume premix that's bursting with the essence of a holiday season, making it perfect for hosting a celebration. Save the extra syrup to use in morning drinks, sweets, or to make additional servings of the drink.

Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Drink (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Place every components into a saucepan, bring to a light boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, take off the heat allowing it to cool fully. Pour into a clean bottle, seal keeping it chilled, where it will keep for about four weeks.
Preparing the Premix: Mix every liquids into one large bottle, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it best through a fine cloth, to ensure it's completely strained.
For serving: Add 85ml of the premix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate gently for one minute until cold. Filter to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch using a quick spritz of the essential oil over the drink.
